Patagonia Print Sunamee Bikini Bottom - Women's

I have 3 pairs of Patagonia men's stand-up shorts in size 34. All are a slightly loose but comfortable. The size 34 borderless short is at least one, probably 2 sizes smaller all over than the stand-up size 34 - a big difference. The size 35 was a little short in the seat. The fabric is not supple, but stiff, unlike any supplex nylon short I've ever owned. I returned the borderless short since I was looking for a light weight, supple short for every day wear in the desert in the summertime. The stand-up short would actually be preferable to me.

Our 4 year old daughter has been a huge fan of Jungle Jam cd's for over a year now and there is no sign of slowing down! She loves and identifies with the characters. The music and stories are so creatively able to portray wonderful spiritual and moral insight to young listeners. It is fun to listen to for my husband & I as well. There is enough depth of lesson teaching that I know she will be listening to Jungle Jam for many, many years to come. I highly recommend the whole series.....

If you want a cook book to use for recipes, don't buy this one.
There are ingrediants and measures that you have never heard which
is totally useless. There are also strange dishes such as calf
brains that you would never use ........
I find the only bit of value for this book is some good old Louisville
nostalga.

Jennie C. Benedict's The Blue Ribbon Cook Book represents the very best in the tradition of southern regional cooking. Recipes for such classic dishes as Parker House rolls, lamb chops, corn pudding, Waldorf salad, and cheese and nut sandwiches are nestled among longtime local favorites such as apple butter, rice pudding, griddle cakes, and Benedictine, the cucumber sandwich spread bore Benedict's name. Throughout the cookbook, Benedict's delightful voice shines. Benedict, who was once the most famous caterer in Louisville and also operated a celebrated tea room and soda fountain, trained with Fannie Farmer at the Boston Cooking School. Five editions of Benedict's famous cookbook were published, and her aim in sharing her recipes was simple; as she mentions in the preface, "I have tried to give the young housekeeper just what she needs, and for more experienced ones, the best that can be had in the culinary art." As a creative entrepreneur, Benedict had a significant influence on the local culture and foodways. Her sweet and savory dishes were the stars of many Derby parties, and yet she placed equal emphasis on simple luncheon and dinner recipes to satisfy the needs of home cooks. While her popular dishes graced genteel tables all over the Bluegrass, Benedict's chicken salad sandwiches, sold from a pushcart, offered Louisville children the first school lunches in the city. This new edition of The Blue Ribbon Cook Book will now welcome new generations of readers and cooks -- those who remember wearing white gloves and eating delicate tea sandwiches at the downtown department store as well as those who want to make satisfying regional classics such as blackberry jam cake like their grandmother used to make. Food writer Susan Reigler introduces the story of Benedict's life and cuisine, and this edition is the first to come complete with the now-famous spread that bears Benedict's name.

Simply stated, one of the best books for healing and growth (and humor) I've ever read...well, to be specific, I've ever read 5 times! It's a simple read, yet keeps your eyes glued to its pages; its voice strikes you right to your core and makes you wonder if it wasn't written solely for you! I've loaned it to friends a million times over, and it's never been received with anything less than pure excitement, relief, pleasure, and appreciation. Great writing, great book, great lessons. It's both practical and spiritual, humorous and poignant, insightful and memorable. It's a book you won't soon forget.

Quoting from the back cover:
"This is the tale of Hyam, a cat famous for talking himself out of a part at an audition for a West End Production - for he is an actor. He tells his own story in a series of delightfully readable poems, taking us on his travels through the ups and down of theatre life and his many escapades as a sophisticated actor, a country puss and a family pet. Blessed with a sense of humour and an abounding love of people, Hyam is, indeed, a most unusual cat."
Pamela Douglas has written this wonderful little book which I'm certain will delight children of all ages and cat lovers in particular. Her poems rhyme like a cat in a hat, and one soon comes to know and love Hyam. The books is well written, edited and illustrated. The cover is colorful and attractive.

All Music Guide is one of the go to places for ratings and reviews of albums and this compilation of old school hip-hop is no exception. While they don't dole out a one to five star rating as they do on their website, AMG selected a nice cross section of the genre from heavyweight acts like The Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube, Public Enemy & A Tribe Called Quest to lesser known ones like Main Source & The Jungle Brothers. They also sprinkle artists who obtained some mass appeal like Kriss Kross who aren't exactly thought of a old school hip hop. There is also a section on soul & jazz artists whose music is notably and heavily sampled.

Crazy Drama Review

Crazy Drama
Average Reviews:

As CRAZY DRAMA opens, the Phat Five is making plans for Jam Fest 2003, which is the equivalent of Atlanta's Freak Nik. The Phat Five consist of long-time friends, Teddy Henderson, Ajani Bethel, Eros Alexander, Kellan "KJ" Brar and Damon "Q" Quintino. Teddy accepted a position with the committee to form this year's Jam Fest and his friends are counting on him to provide the place to stay and tickets for the event. Unbeknownst to them, he has resigned his position from the committee and has given his life to Christ. He is uncomfortable with breaking the news to his boys and not looking forward to what the weekend, with the rowdy crew, will bring.
KJ is competing in the hip-hop showcase against former partner, Roderick who was the previous year's winner at Jam Fest. Roderick has released his first album with the label that offered him a contract, as a result of the contest, and he's ready to compete again in this year's competition. There's a bitter rivalry between KJ and Roderick because Roderick never recognized KJ as his ghostwriter and also betrayed him by taking his girlfriend. Ajani is obsessed with making money and leads an undercover life as a drug dealer. Keeping the secret from his girlfriend and young son is wearing on him. When he discovers a rival is framing him, his life spirals out of control.
Q, whose pro-basketball career has been derailed because of a knee injury, is overcompensating by working an excessive amount of hours to maintain an attractive income. His long hours are causing his new bride a lot of loneliness and frustration. She is really miffed when he decides to go to Jam Fest on one of the few weekends he did not have to work. Eros is trying to live up to the legend created by his porn-producing father - the more women he has, the happier he is. Jam Fest is just the platform for him to fulfill his fantasies. The drama gets really crazy when this group is united for the weekend.
I enjoyed D. A. Bourne `s debut novel, CRAZY DRAMA. It took a moment to get familiar with his Canadian vernacular but once I did, the story flowed. Bourne did an excellent job balancing and developing so many characters. He tells a highly dramatic, action-packed and suspenseful tale without explicit sex scenes and foul language. His style can appeal to lovers of street fiction, as well as Christian fiction which is a good balance that can be hard to capture. CRAZY DRAMA is one not to miss.

Going to Jam Fest every year is his way of getting his freak on with girls he doesn't have to see everyday. Not caring for the women who open their hearts to him, Eros' quest to become the next Hugh Hefner heads into dangerous territory...Damon Quintino a.k.a "Q" is a former college basketball star whose dreams of becoming pro were shattered due to a career-ending injury. Struggling to deal with a blue-collar lifestyle, Q works excessive hours, resulting in a troubled new marriage. Just when he has an opportunity to make things better, Q decides to go to Jam Fest with the fellas instead of spending a much-needed weekend with his wife...K.J Brar wants to be the next hip-hop superstar. His former friend and partner-in-rhyme found success on the road to stardom, and took K.J's woman with him. Hurt and disgusted, he enters the internationally-televised Jam Fest Freestyle Showcase, hoping that bitterness helps him on his path towards greatness...Teddy Henderson was the ultimate party man. His main reason for moving to the city of Windsor was to be a huge part in taking Jam Fest to the next level of success. However, Teddy went through a spiritual transformation, and his friends have no idea that he's changed...In this debut novel by D.A. The Time Place is the authors first stab at a novel, I should know because I am his son. I believe for a first attemt he did a good job. As many who will read the book find out, it has its flaws, however the story is unlike any book out there. If your looking for depth, detail, or a hard read, look else where, if your looking for a fun read about something so far fetched it makes you wonder what was the author thinking writing a book like this, its surely for you.

Mel Bay A Mandolin Player's Guide to Jamming Review

Mel Bay A Mandolin Player's Guide to Jamming
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When some musicians attend a bluegrass festival, they never take in a stage show. Instead, they gravitate to the campground and parking lot to partake in the endless jam sessions with others. They are key to the learning process, and there is "parking lot picking" for all levels of musicianship. Prior to just jumping in, however, one must be grounded in the rules of jamming and how to act in a session. If you don't understand these basics, you could easily be ignored, labelled a "jam buster" or worse. No one wants that reputation hanging over their head. That's where Carl Yaffey's player's guides come in. To date, the multi-instrumentalist from Columbus, Ohio has produced them for guitar, banjo and mandolin.
With this 23-page book/CD set, you'll be introduced to nine standard jam songs (Hot Corn, Cold Corn, Roll in My Sweet Baby's Arms, Nine Pound Hammer, John Henry, Two Little Boys, Columbus Stockade Blues, Down the Road, Little Maggie, John Hardy). Of course, knowing these songs will barely scratch the surface of the bluegrass repertoire, but these will give you some minimal confidence as you search out others of your same abilities to pick with. On the accompanying CD, the tunes are played twice. First, the tune is played on the left channel with a verbal description on the right channel. Then, the song is played in stereo.
Don't let jam sessions be intimidating. You need to be familiar with the typical chords and keys for jamming. You need to understand the importance of your right hand technique, no matter what instrument you've chosen to take up. Yaffey's guide discusses the role that each instrument plays for providing bluegrass rhythm. This is one more resource available from Mel Bay Publications that will allow beginning musicians to discover, participate in, and celebrate bluegrass music. (Joe Ross, staff writer, Bluegrass Now)

Joining a jam session can be intimidating. Presented here is everything a beginning or intermediate mandolin player needs to know to participate in a jam session. There are sections that describe how jam sessions work, and jam session etiquette. The book also describes the typical chords and keys for jamming, and describes right hand usage. A section is included on the role each instrument plays in bluegrass rhythm. A play-along CD is included with 9 typical bluegrass jam tunes. The tunes are played twice: once with the tune played on the left channel and a verbal description on the right channel, and once in stereo.

Alaska Wild Berry Guide and Cookbook Review

Alaska Wild Berry Guide and Cookbook
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Alaska Wild Berry Guide and Cookbook is an excellent source for someone interested in making use of the many delicious wild berries that dot the Alaskan landscape. With almost 50 kinds of berries growing wild here on the Last Frontier, you're sure to be close to one or more that will work for jam, jelly or some delectable baked goods. The book's color photos are particularly helpful. My only real complaint with this book is that I'd almost prefer to have a smaller "pocket-sized" guide (sans recipes) for times when I'm out in the woods gathering berries. This would be particularly helpful for those hikes when you're bringing along a visitor or someone knew to Alaska. I'm looking for a specific kind of berry, but they often want to know the names of several varieties and it always seems to be the very ones that have long-since gone from my mind! Despite this small complaint, I give this book 5 stars and recommend it to anyone wishing for more information on berries in the Greatland!

The Arbitrator's Handbook Review

The Arbitrator's Handbook
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This book contains some very good information for arbitrators, but the last 200 pages (almost half of the book) is just checklists derived from the table of contents and the rules of various arbitration associations which are available on the internet for free. The substance of the book is written in chronological order of the arbitration process and is geared more to the experienced arbitrator than a beginner. I found Allan H. Goodman's Basic Skills for the New Arbitrator (make sure you get the new second edition) to be a more concise, practical treatment of the same subject for beginners and valuable even for experienced arbitrators. Written in question-and-answer format, it teaches you rather than talks to you.

Well-known dispute resolution educator John W. Cooley has revised and updated The Arbitrator's Handbook for lawyers and continuing legal education arbitration courses. The Arbitrator's Handbook, Second Edition, begins with an introduction to arbitration describing its stages, types, benefits, and limitations. Cooley defines the role, authority, and ethics requirements of the arbitrator. Cooley then examines the arbitrator's pre-hearing duties, focusing on the initiation of the arbitration as well as the preparation stage. Chapter three focuses on the hearing, covering such topics as the arbitrator's opening statement, handling of preliminary matters, review of basic rules of evidence, and making rulings on motions and objections. Chapter four explores the post-hearing such as ruling on post-hearing motions, deciding the merits of the case, and drafting the award and the opinion supporting the award. Chapter five, a new chapter in the second edition, covers information useful to arbitrators when conducting a cyberarbitration. Checklists are included in appendices A-D to ensure that the lawyer/arbitrator takes key actions at critical stages !of the arbitration process. The appendix also contains updated sample arbitration forms and rules.Highlights include:The International Arbitrator Understanding Basic Principles of Evidence Ensuring Completeness and Accuracy of TranscriptsDrafting the Award Domestic Arbitration Rules International Arbitration Rules
