One Christmas when we were younger, a bunch of these CD's were my parents' gift to my siblings and I. I'd say it was probably one of if not THE best Christmas present I've ever gotten. We started listening to them that night and were laughing together as a family for a long time. That was quite a while ago, and I'm now a sophomore in college. I listen to these ALL the time while I'm doing homework and sometimes my roommate will look at me funny because I will be cracking up at the stories. No matter how many times I listen to these, they never get old! I can listen to the same story twice in a row and still laugh at every joke. I am almost 20 and have four siblings; three who are in their teens and one who is 8, and we will still all hang out together listening to these and laughing together.
Conclusion: These CD's are a great investment and never get old! They have great morals, and are a ton of fun for the whole family!

Outrageous premise of a man who writes The Great American Novel, loses the manuscript in the woods, and becomes so depressed that he goes into hibernation and becomes beast-like. The flip side of the equation, the part that makes this book a dangerous one to read in bed beside a sleeping mate, is that the manuscript is found by a bear who manages to sell it on a trip to New York. The bear is courted by NY's best and finest celebs, and he impresses reviewers, agents, and editors with his hyper-intelligent and deeply moving monosyllabic grunts and one-word responses to interview questions.
But the parts that'll make your trying-to-sleep spouse want to kill you are the love scenes between the bear and the object of his affection, a 'fur-bearing woman,' (a lady who doesn't shave her legs).

Traffic Jam Review

(More customer reviews)This is a delightful rhyming tale of great imaginary proportion, making a run of the mill traffic jam into a kid's intergalactic journey. After my kids outgrew this special picture book, we included it in the dozens of boxes we gave away, and now, I'm sorry. The book provided tons of reading fun when the children were small. All of us loved it. Even the grown up kids in the crowd.

Her parents handle her food refusal by indulging her with bread and jam at every meal and snack. She soon tires of it and wants to eat what everyone else is eating: a well-rounded meal.
This is a cute tale with little rhymes that Frances sings to herself with her food musings. The illustrations are adorable, they are not a visual assault as some other children's books have. This book was first published in the 1960s and as with other picture books of that time, has nice long prose, a good length of a story.
Both parents and children who deal with fussy eaters will appreciate this funny tale. It is a classic that is sure to be a favorite!
